Today was just a HORRIBLEI repeat, HORRIBLE day. I kept screwing the orders and had lots of problem with balancing the dishes. My mind and body couldn't seem to react to anything for reasons still unknown. I'm guessing its due to the lack of sleep. The worst part was that another person was getting scolded cause of my blunders. And cause of that, the person seemed very much unhappy with me and kept ordering me around. But oh well, she apologised for it. =)I absent minded-ly went to serve a particular dish to person no.1 instead of person no.2, who were both friends. I apologised to them and they seemed rather fine about it. But this person has to reprimand me infront them and told me not to serve any dishes out anymore. I was like damn pissed off. I mean human beings make mistakes! And I'm a human! ARGH!
However, I had the best working day ever on Sunday. I managed to take orders for a table of 11 people! Apart from that, I managed to balance the dishes pretty well and everything seemed to be going pretty smooth. And so I thought the next day would be a better one. Little did I know how wrong I was!
On Sunday morning, while I was clearing the dishes for the breakfast buffet. This women who was dining with her husband called out to me.
Woman: Hey, are you a singaporean?
Me: Yes, I am. *smiles*
Woman: Really? I see. *turns to her husband* She has this glow on her face doesnt she? She really glows huh?
Man: Yea *smiles*
Me: *smiles back* Thank you!
Man: But you wear powder also right?
Women: Of course la! But she still glows doesnt she?
And then the conversation continued on with them asking me about my education and stuff. A nosey but sweet couple ! =))
I pray that tomorrow will be a better day indeed. I was told to not be nice to everyone and to be straight forward when I needed to. Indeed, I shall follow!
